What should I wear to the temple tour?
Wear light, comfortable clothing covering shoulders and knees, comfortable shoes, and bring a hat or light jacket for early mornings.
What languages do the local guides on the temples speak?
At Borobudur and Prambanan, our local guides are available to guide you in English, Dutch, and Indonesian.
Can we also visit one temple?
Yes, it’s possible to customize the tour, but both temples are recommended for the full experience.
Can we make photos at the temples?
Photography is allowed, but be respectful of sacred areas. Also, I can make pictures of you.
What should I wear for the cave tour?
Wear comfortable, quick-drying clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty or wet. Long sleeves and pants are recommended for safety and protection from rocks.
Do I need special shoes for the caves?
Closed-toe shoes with good grip are required. Sneakers or hiking shoes are ideal.
Is the cave tour suitable for children?
Yes, the caves are recommended for children from age 10. Younger children may find the rope descent and tubing challenging.
Are helmets, ropes, and other safety equipment provided?
Yes, all necessary safety equipment, including helmets, harnesses, ropes, and life jackets, are provided by the local guides on the sides.
Is there a guide with me the whole time in the cave?
Yes, trained local guides accompany you throughout the Jomblang and Pindul experiences. They provide instructions, safety assistance, and share interesting information.
What happens in case of rain or bad weather?
Tours can be rescheduled if weather conditions make the cave experience unsafe. Safety is our priority.
Can we bring food or drinks into the caves?
No, food and drinks are not allowed inside the caves for safety and preservation reasons. A local lunch is provided after the Jomblang cave adventure. Of course you can leave your food and drinks in the car.
What should I bring for the 2DAYS1NIGHT East Java Tour?
We recommend comfortable shoes with grip, a raincoat, and a small backpack for water and snacks. During the Bromo sunrise, it can get very cold. We understand you don’t want to pack warm clothes for your entire trip in Indonesia, so jackets and blankets are available to hire at the viewpoint, just for the time you need them.

How difficult is the trek to Tumpak Sewu and Goa Tetes?
The trek to the waterfall and cave can be slippery and steep. It’s not extremely difficult, but a reasonable level of fitness and sturdy shoes are recommended.
How long is the travel time from Jogja to Malang or Surabaya?
Travel from Jogjakarta to Malang or Surabaya takes approximately 7–8 hours by car or train. The tour starts from Malang or Surabaya, not from Jogja.
Is it possible that one of your drivers will transfer us to Malang or Surabaya to be on time for the East Java Tour?
At Faisal in Jogja Tour everything can be discussed, based on availability of drivers we can check if this is possible.
Is food included in the East Java Tour?
Only breakfast at the Bromo homestay is included. For other meals, we recommend bringing snacks or purchasing food along the way.
What is the homestay like in Bromo?
The homestay is simple but clean and comfortable, offering private rooms with breakfast. Luxury hotel upgrades are available at an extra cost.
Is the tour suitable for children or elderly travelers?
Yes, but participants should be able to walk on stairs and uneven paths at the waterfall and Bromo crater. Small children or those with limited mobility may find it challenging.
What languages do the guides speak?
Local guides speak basic English, and all key explanations are provided in English.
Can I be picked up at the airport in Surabaya or Malang?
Yes, you can choose hotel or airport pickup in Surabaya or Malang.
Can we make extra stops during your tours?
Yes, we can accommodate small stops like local markets or cultural shows if time allows.
Can we leave our baggage in the car while doing your tours?
Yes, you can leave your baggage in the car during all tours. But please note that Faisal in Jogja Tour is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage. It is at your own risk.
Is lunch included in the tours?
Lunch is included in the price for the cave tour. For the temple tour and East Java tour, lunch is optional and must be paid by yourself.
What payment methods are accepted?
We only accept cash payment in Indonesian Rupiah.
When do I pay for the tour?
Payment is made on the day of the tour, at the time of pick up. So you can book now, pay later. With big groups sometimes a deposit will be asked by official WhatsApp account Faisal in Jogja Tour.
Can I pay in advance or online?
Currently, we do not offer online payment. Payment is cash only at pick-up.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, all standard tour fees are included in the price. Optional items, like lunch for the temple tour or souvenirs, must be paid separately.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the tour are free of charge. If you cancel within 24 hours without prior notice, 50% of the tour price will be charged. Rescheduling is always possible, lets together check the availabilities.
